Late last night, after two weeks of intense negotiations, delegates meeting at the United Nations finally agreed to language for a High Seas Treaty. This is a major milestone in a nearly two-decade effort to secure a treaty to govern and protect the High Seas, which make up 70% of the ocean and cover nearly half the planet. More than 160,000 supporters spoke up and urged leaders to act. This public support, along with the great work of partners like RISE UP, the High Seas Alliance, Greenpeace, and more, helped show decision-makers that people all over the world were watching and wanted action — and they delivered. There is still more work to do, as nations will now need to formally adopt the language and ratify the treaty at the country level. We will continue to keep you updated on campaign developments and the critical moments where we need your support.
Three solutions that supersize impact for people and planet.
With our monthly membership, fund projects that support three crucial solutions for ocean and climate health.

Restore mangrove forests
These remarkable ocean trees can store four times more carbon than rainforests on land.

Rebuild coral reefs
Reefs are home to 25% of marine species, but face an existential threat from global warming.

Stop ocean plastic
Plastic that enters the ocean kills wildlife and eventually finds its way into our bodies, but we can stop the tide of pollution.
How we select world-class projects
We only support trusted, locally-rooted project partners backed by the latest science.
Proven projects
Every project is vetted by our expert advisors, and each of our partners has a track record of proven impact.
Global goals
Our projects prioritize local livelihoods and ecosystems while moving the needle on global ocean and climate health through the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Rigorous reporting
We track every single cent of impact back to our partners in the field. We attach a unique ID to every tree, every coral, and every gram of plastic.

Want to become one of our project partners?
We are on the lookout for proven projects focused on mangrove restoration, coral planting, and plastic removal year round, to supersize impact. If you are part of or know of a project like this, let us know.
